Répétition Minute
Created in collaboration with the design office that crafts the Astronomia movement for Jacob&Co, this Minute Repeater is inspired by the conquest of space.
On October 4, 1957, the Sputnik satellite, the first spacecraft placed in orbit, marked the beginning of the space age. It therefore seemed obvious to us to use the formal codes of the spacecraft to design this new case. We then sought to exploit the three-dimensional aspect of the dial, seeking innovative shapes that remained in keeping with traditional watchmaking finishes. The final touch was to place an astronaut rotating in this space.
